Neuromodulators

Neuromodulators (Dysport®, Botox®, Xeomin®, Nuceiva®) are products frequently used in aesthetic medicine. These molecules are injected into facial muscles, temporarily relaxing them. By relaxing a given muscle, expression lines in the upper face (forehead wrinkles, crow’s feet, frown lines) are directly reduced, while untreated facial muscles remain intact, allowing natural facial expressions. Optimal results take an average of one to two weeks to achieve. Treatment lasts an average of 3 to 5 months.

Botox injections are mainly used to treat expression lines in the upper face, i.e. crow’s feet, frown lines and forehead wrinkles.

Questions

Frequently asked questions about treatment
Are neuromodulator injections safe?

When performed by an expert physician or experienced nurse injector, volumizing injections are safe and results are reversible thanks to an injectable enzyme.

Most patients feel no pain, as we use the finest needles to maximize comfort, and the sensation is comparable to that of a very light pinch that lasts only a fraction of a second.

Results are visible within 3 to 5 days of the appointment, and the final result will be apparent within 2 weeks of the injections.

This may vary from one person to another, but in general it’s recommended to have a touch-up every 3 to 6 months to maintain results.

Yes.
Because they perform different functions, a neuromodulator can be combined with a dermal filler to suit your needs.
The neuromodulator relaxes muscles to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, usually around the forehead and eyes, while dermal fillers help restore lost volume and reshape facial contours.
Together, they can give your face a more balanced, youthful and rested appearance.

Most patients are able to return to their daily activities immediately after their appointment, provided they take a few precautions.
